South Road surface road closure, Croydon Park

Thu., 11 June, 2020

There will be a temporary closure of the South Road surface road, northbound, between Torrens Road and north of Tait Street, Croydon Park, for the installation of concrete road barriers.

The Regency to Pym Street Project (R2P) will be installing concrete road barriers along the northbound South Road surface road, between Torrens Road and just north of Tait Street, Croydon Park.

Concrete road barriers will separate road users from the construction area allowing the project team to upgrade the road, kerb and gutter, footpath and landscaping in this area.

In order to minimise the impact to road users, the works will be undertaken at night Thursday, 11 June, between 8pm and 6am.

Signage will be in place to advise local residents of the road closure and detour routes via Torrens Road and Days Road.

Through-traffic will be detoured via Torrens Road and Churchill Road.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times during these works. There is no change to public transport services.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site. Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.
