Noise wall panel installation completed

Tue., 08 September, 2020

Noise walls provide a barrier between the road traffic and nearby properties to reduce noise. They are installed along South Road, between the road corridor and residential properties.

From May we installed 259 steel posts that hold noise wall panels in position. From June, we installed 243 noise wall panels.

Noise wall panel installation was completed at the end of August, with window inserts installed in the following weeks.

Noise walls have been constructed using precast concrete panels which range from 3 – 3.5 metres in height. The panels are a ‘Woodland Grey’ in colour.

A big thank you to all the residents who we have worked with very closely with during the installations.
