January 2020 Traffic Switch

Fri., 20 December, 2019

Traffic switches are used to move traffic lanes away from work zones, to ensure safety while keeping traffic moving.

It is particularly important to keep traffic moving through the intersection of South Road and Regency Road.

The first traffic switch will be implemented 12-13 January, 2020. The R2P project team will temporarily remove right turns from Regency Road onto South Road in both the north and south direction.

At the intersection with South Road, on Regency Road there will be three westbound and two eastbound lanes. Bicycle lanes will remain and the northern and western pedestrian crossings will be removed.

These changes will increase the amount of green traffic signal time and keep traffic moving through the intersection.
