Community Liaison Group

The first meeting for the R2P Community Liaison Group (CLG) was held on Thursday, 6 February. The CLG is comprised of local community members with an interest in the R2P Project. Members will act as a liaison between their local communities and the R2P Alliance project team, and will meet regularly over the life of the R2P Project.

The number one priority for the CLG is the delivery of an end product that has a positive impact on the neighbourhood in which they live.

Key priorities discussed included: An update on project construction, the main traffic switch including the closure of Pym Street and bus route and pedestrian access changes. Landscaping, public art, stakeholder engagement through COVID 19 and an update from City of PAE about their new Traffic Management Plan.

Wednesday 6 May 2020

Key priorities discussed included: An update on project construction, bus route changes, the closure of Pym Street noise walls and our creative strategy for urban art, community art and landscaping. An introduction to the R2P mobile App 'SitePodium' and an update from City of PAE about the Polonia Reserve and Regency Oval upgrades.

Key priorities discussed included: An overview of the project timeline, landscaping, urban design, public art and providing public spaces for the community. Concerns raised included: temporary disruptions to residents around access to important services, such as schools, work places and shops.
